The great pumpkins
Last weekend we went to the pumpkin patch with Grandma Mater. For Kathryn, this is always such a thrill! She has been talking about going to the pumpkin patch since last Halloween. It's hard to get her to sit still for pictures because of all the excitement, but you can get the idea! Her favorites are always the strange or tiny ones. We left with several, and she still carries them around, decorates and redecorates them, brings them into the bath and in the car, and the cutest little one even helps her fall asleep at night along with her stuffed animals and soft blanket.

One pumpkin had the stem break off after we bought it, and this was just devastating... but we told her she could help fix it, and after playing some "no smiles", pretty soon she felt better.
Decorating pumpkins with Grandma and Mommy

Here is the pumpkin she designed. Of course I did the carving (and scooping, since the texture grossed her out) but the shapes and sizes of everything, and even the paci were all her ideas.
