Who is the cutest in the land?

 Grandma Mater was babysitting Neevie, and I'm told she kept admiring herself, saying "cute, cute, CUTE!"

She does have a point.

There's summer...

...and then there's END of summer. We are clinging to lazy sunny days, and to say we are taking it easy would be an understatement. We can spend hours grooming barbies, playing board games, reading stacks of books, building with legos, coloring, giving puppies check-ups and anything else we can dream up with no thought of what we "should" be doing. 

Today we were playing outside, and water seemed like a good idea. 

Swimsuits? Bah. We're in summer mode.

Have I gushed lately about how much I love these girls? 

They are my absolute joy.

Puppy fell!

Kathryn loves puppies, real or toy. You will rarely see her without one of her tiny canine friends. Most of them are accident-prone, and she loves to help them feel better. She has her medicine bag at her disposal constantly, and seems to have things under control.

 The girls love this book. It is all about making the best of our accidents, even celebrating them.

Homemade bouncy balls

I find the most interesting things at Goodwill. 

We made these from a kit. It was fun and they turned out bright and colorful, but they don't really bounce unless we keep them moistened. 

Oh well, just one of many reasons we are all about process- not product!
