New favorite thing
The swing! After almost half an hour of fun we took her out, but only because the endless giggles and squeals suddenly turned into snores.
Munchkie Christmas
We had a happy Christmas with loved ones and hope you did too.
Now that it is over though, we are enjoying some much-needed quiet time at home!

Making Christmas
This year Kathryn wanted in on the decorating. She put ornaments on the tree (and took them off and put them back on several times of course). Everywhere I look, there are festive art projects on our walls. She even made clove oranges, construction paper chains and popcorn garlands. I do love it, but she is going to help me take this all down eventually, right?
Right?
Right?

Preschool concert
Kathryn's class combined with the other three-year old class to put on a little Christmas show for the parents. It was so cute. Kathryn always likes to stand out, and this was no exception. You can see her in the back wearing sneakers and playing her bells with gusto. She was *that* one... you know, the one who sings really loud with lots of heart, just slightly behind the vocal track, making us chuckle?
She loves her teacher and has made new friends. I am so proud of her, and I wouldn't change a thing.
Glowing with pride (or mommy got a little retouch-happy)
There was even a surprise guest.
"I've been mostly good all year, Santa. Please bring me Zhu Zhu pets!"

Man-date
Rob and Jonathan joined some of the guys from our church in indoor Nerf wars.
Wait, they look so familiar. Where have I seen those two before?

Sock bowling
This was Kathryn's first experience bowling. She really liked it and got spare after spare! I'm sorry the pictures are fuzzy and/or sideways. I had Niamh with me, so this happening at all was kind of a festivus miracle.
Blustery day
The mild, even warm fall has been so good for us. We have been outside almost every other day. I know it won't last, but while it is here we will enjoy it.
Signs you might need a couponing intervention... from your preschooler
5. She knows to seek out the red clearance stickers at Target, the more layers the better and strategically asks for toys she sees are on clearance
4. She understands the words bargain and deal, and she is three
3. When playing make-believe store, she tells you her products are on sale and gives invisible coupons to stack with the sale
2. She knows which color tag is 50% off at Goodwill that week and that it means half off
1. She sits and clips with you and insists on bringing her (expired) coupons to the store

Niamh moments
Every night when she hears Rob filling the tub and I say "sissy bath!" she does this.
She loves to sit, and this chair is just her size.
Ping concert
The kids at our church put on a tiny concert. It was precious. I do think Kathryn was a little nervous and maybe uncomfortable in her fancy dress, but she and the other kids did great, and were so adorable. Here is one of the songs they sang. I will try to add more photos and video as I have them available.

Fun with scarves
The kids came up with this, playing happily together for half an hour or more. This supports my theory that the best toys are rarely "toys".
Gobble gobble
We hosted Thanksgiving this year, and although the company and food was stellar, the photos were not... and by that, I mean not in existence. I was a *little* busy. We did get some cousin photos though.
Kathryn and Raiden
The balloon turkey from Unkie Johnny
Full and sleepy
Their first real slumber party- they even slept next to each other.
Four cousins
Play dough fun
Sleepy again, that tryptophan is powerful stuff!
Is this seat taken?
Big hugs!
