Happy birthday, dear Kathryn

Party Planning Committee

This year I tried something different. Rather than just ask what kind of birthday party she wanted ("lucky duck", inspired by the Dr. Seuss book), I put Kathryn in charge of everything and had no objection from her. Almost every idea that went into it was hers- decorations, games, food- everything. Here she is making a pants-eating-plant.

 

Toddler school

Kathryn has enrolled Niamh in toddler school. Brilliant! I'm told the lessons cover how to play nicely, focus, read and count. I'm guessing here, but perhaps also the unspoken rule that Kathryn is boss?
