I think I need to buy this kid knee pads and a helmet for her birthday, honestly.

Hanging with Unkie Johnny
Jonathan took Rob, Bops and me flying (we took turns watching the kids). It was A-MA-ZING. Kathryn adores her Uncle Jonathan, and told me "Sorry mom, I won't be able to be with you today, because I'll be busy hanging with Unkie Johnny." (said in a voice clearly indicating his coolness factor. I knew you WHEN, Jonathan!!!)
Back down to earth (we flew over our house an hour earlier- CRAZY!)
We made lots of balloon animals, and Unkie Johnny also showed her what happens when you let go of an untied balloon...
It will be hard to top this day, but if anyone can do it, he can.
Steam Punk
Our friend Melissa had a steam punk birthday.
It was even more fun than it looks, and I know that's really saying something!
The Great Pumpkin
Kathryn and I went to Fritzler's for a just-us outing. It's probably good that it was so chilly; we could have stayed all day.

and finally, the pumpkin patch
Neevie knows how
Niamh really surprises me sometimes, because she'll grab something I have never taught her how to use, and just go for it. She loves to comb her hair in front of the mirror, talk on the phone, and even brush her teeth. I'm sure she picked these up watching sis, but what else is she going to learn by watching Kathryn? Front rolls? Hand stands? Ack, **sweat drops, sweat drops, sweat drops**!!! (Please pardon the messy mirror, I am a better historian than housekeeper.)
"A cute little baby slithergadee"
The Slithergadee has crawled out of the sea.
He may catch all the others, but he won’t catch me.
No you won’t catch me, old Slithergadee,
You may catch all the others, but you wo–

She is really into "3-D" art lately. Here is Linus from Charlie Brown, blanket and everything.
Fallish art
Our house is filled with Kathryn's spooky creations. I will post more as time allows, but these give you the idea.

Bops retires from GMPC
Dad was organist and directed the choirs at Green Mountain Presbyterian Church for 16 years.
The church threw him a party- here are a few highlights.

Is there anything he can't play? (no.)
Mom and Dad
and now... more time to spend with the little musicians!
It was very clear to me from visiting with members of the choir and congregation that he will be missed. He leaves behind a strong and beautiful legacy, and big shoes to (try to) fill. He used to remind his choir they weren't performing, they were singing to God. Well, he wasn't just directing.
He helped people to experience God through worship and music.
