They both just plopped down on her, honest.

A lap full of love

Say Tchaikovsky!

Rob and Kathryn enjoyed a memorable evening together at The Nutcracker ballet.
I'm told they had a delightful time, and that K. was a model audience member.
Daddy bought her a very special Clara nutcracker

She insisted on a prince nutcracker for Neevie, who will surely join them (us?) next year.

Happy birthday, Auntie Jannie

Charlie Brown Christmas Tree

We took the kids caroling downtown with some friends from the chorale. We were out for at least an hour, but they loved it, especially Jingle Bells (you know we had to bring their instruments.). Kathryn is very interested in plants right now and begged to pick something out from the local flower shop afterward. I caved, and she got this little beauty. She decorated the pot, then we made polymer clay ornaments.
I guess all it needed was a little love.

Turkey day in Sterling

We have so many reasons to be thankful, for instance...
Stickers.
Stickers!!!
Fancy cheeses
The Smorgasbord

Big bites

Grandma's beautiful hair

and Great Grandma sharing her delicate figurines with enamored children

Most of all we are thankful for our family and friends, and that means you.
Happy Thanksgiving to loved ones near and far!

Oh the noise, noise, noise, NOISE! :)

They'll blow their floofloovers!
They'll bang their tartookas!

Dancy dance time

Self-taught, no less!

I will try to post some videos soon with our new camcorder.
I dance with them too sometimes, but I won't be recording that!

Staying busy inside

Legos
Painting shirts
Dehydrating apples...
using the leftover juice for lemonade of course
Making pancake batter
puzzles
Unkie Johnny helps with the routine
...and some animal art of course
(I think Neevie added the pink, without asking. It's her graffiti trade-mark.)

My sweet girls

Butter Incident II

I suppose a sequel to the original was inevitable.

Neevie's birthday, round two

The theme she chose was "sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows... and pink".
She wore the entire parachute as a cape. It was her party, and oh did she know it!
The ow-my-eyes! pink cake Grandma Mater made...
Thank you for taking all the pictures Mom, sorry I didn't get any of you!
Oh the madness this party was, but so fun.
Happy birthday, sweetie-pie!
