Rob, Dad and I started out by taking the boat out on the lake for the 4th.
Apparently a couple of other folks had the same idea.

Rob gives my perfunctory boat shot the thumbs up!

Here we go...

YIPPIE!!!

We're not waving, our arms just froze like that

While we were at the lake, Grandma let Kathryn run through the water. When I got home she had to show me how much fun it is!

the "owl" sprinkler... I love creative little minds!

We also drew Olivias with sidewalk chalk. Grandma's was much better than Mommy's, but K. seemed to like them both. Of course you can always accessorize!

Bad mommy thought Kathryn would be asleep during fireworks, so she didn't make any plans to see them. Never one to miss a party, K. actually stayed up pretty late listening to the booms. We tried to see some from Bops and Grandma's back yard, but it looked a little like this:

**chirp chirp***
***chirp chirp***
Are you KIDDING me, Mom?

We then went to the front yard and saw fireworks the neighbors were lighting from a safe distance. She loved them and kept asking and signing for more, more.
Maybe next year Mommy will be on top of it. Sorry, kiddo!!!
