Four Christmases

Merry Christmas!

This has been quite a year for us. Our most exciting news is the arrival of our daughter Niamh (Neev) Elizabeth on November 3rd. She is such a sweetheart. She seems to really love music and movement. She grins at us a lot, and it's pretty much the best thing ever. She sleeps beautifully and is so snuggly, and although we had a rocky start, she is nursing like a champ now. Her red hair and green eyes are very Christmasy.

Kathryn loves being a big sister and is such a good helper. She will turn three in March. She is beginning to read, and loves being told stories and making up her own, usually about somebody up on our roof. She likes to be silly and is so funny. We are slowly getting back into our routine of library story times and play groups, and she loves to do art projects. If we could harness her energy, we could power the city of Greeley.

Rob is still working in the IT department at UNC, and enjoys his job very much. Also, he joined the Greeley Chorale this fall, and has performed in two concerts so far this season. Additionally, he continues to play music at church and tries to keep up with the college-aged guys in his band. Best of all, he is super excited to be a dad again and is smitten with his two little girls!

Christy loves being a stay-at-home mom and hanging out with her wonderful little ones all day. She will audition for the Greeley Chorale in January and is looking forward to singing with people over the age of three again. Her fantasy football team Blitzing for Blintzes won first place on the 2008-2009 season. Don't ask about this year.

We miss our kitty Choo Choo, but Rufus and Smokey are quite affectionate and demanding on their own.

We hope you have had a great year, and that the next will be even better.
