The biggest people trap ever built by a mouse

We went to Disneyland while we were in CA last week, and it was just magical for Kathryn. I loved it myself as a kid, but her reactions make it even better now.

Here's the view from our hotel room (that's the park down there!)
Our fireworks view at night... I asked kiddo if she thought Tinkerbell made the fireworks with her pixie dust. She looked at me as if to say- uh YEAH, duh!
The Disneyland gang (it was sooooooo good to see them all!)
Helping Granny accessorize
Searching for random bears

Found one!
The castle
Just one of the many fun tricks taught by Aunties Shelly and Pam... arms up!

Casey Jr.'s train- she could not get enough of this one! Thomas the tank engine is just about her favorite thing in the world right now, so she really gets a kick out of anything train.

Here we are riding Casey Jr. yet again!

It's a small world... here's just a taste for you folks at home. These videos are short, but I have a feeling they will stay with you.

The big train- also a huge hit

The Tiki room

And last but certainly not least- meeting the princesses. This was so special. There must have been smoke in the air somewhere nearby, because both Rob and I kept tearing up.

Not surprisingly, she is already asking to return. :)

Sharing a sweet story with Nonny

Rob's hot rod

Rob was in a car accident a few weeks ago. Both drivers are fine, but our Cavalier was ultimately totaled. Here is the rental car they provided Rob for ten glorious, gear shifting, gas flooring, engine roaring days.
Alas, just like Melissa and the bachelor, all things ridiculous must come to an end, and in these photos, Rob is saying his goodbyes.

I hope he is consoled by the car we bought... check it out! (Except ours has a few dings- and really hip wheels!)

I enjoy being a girl..

...and so does Kathryn! She loves sporting pig tails and having her tiny toenails painted. She is so patient it's a breeze (well, maybe one of those strong breezes that occasionally lands a small twig in your hair). The pink on one foot, purple on the other was her idea. I liked it so much I copied her!

Here is her hair curly after having two little buns in it all day.

This fanciness is all so cute and fun, but I really love her best just the way she is. She's every bit as adorable with messy straight hair and her Thomas pj's, making funny faces.

Trust me :)

Winter B-days

We had a lovely get-together to celebrate the winter birthdays, and it was full of excitement.
I was especially impressed at the Wii-bilities of Nonny, Buopa and Auntie Jannie.
The things we do to make her smile.
Hey, somebody hand him a puppet.
It's the Kathryn show!
Silly stuff
I have no idea. (Why is that the caption of so many Jonathan pics?)
Stories and complete fascination with Nonny

Happy birthday, Augie...

...children's museum style!
