Sprinkle Shine
She appeared out of nowhere and introduced herself to me. I have figured out she loves ballet, but she remains otherwise a mystery.
Movin' on up
Niamh climbs everything. She gets comfy on this bench or in Kathryn's reading chair with no help or even encouragement from me. She climbs Kathryn's toddler bed, STAIRS, push toys, drawers, basically anything she can climb, she will climb.
At least I haven't had to tell her to get down from on top of the refrigerator...
yet.

The bug
As I try to give the kids opportunities to make art, I find myself bitten by the bug as well.
Out of nowhere, I have decided to learn how to sew. Here is my first real project, a pair of pants for Kathryn made with lots of help from my Mom.
I have been given fabric and supplies from Ann and Nonny, and I really think this delight will stick. I don't get to sew as often as I'd like to, but I seem to be retaining everything I've learned. I have made some little cloth toys in the meantime, but I hope to make more clothes soon.
Here are a couple of sources of great inspiration on the creativity front:
Soule Mama
The Artful Parent
They do insanely cool stuff, I steal tons of ideas from them and basically have myself a couple of huge Mommy crushes!

Who invented liquid soap and why?
For a few minutes- maybe five, ten, I don't know- I wrote down the questions Kathryn asked. There were spaces between some of them, and some conversation of course. There were also times I couldn't keep up, but here is a small sample to give you an idea of how relentless she is in her search for answers and information.
"Why don't cities have other cities in them? What if corn starch wasn't disposable? When I was better at gymnastics than last time, but not good the whole time, why did I get half of the lime bar? Why do you sign me in at Imagination Station just like at preschool? Did that pencil get sharpened? Who sharpened it? Is that coffee? Why is there coffee in our coffee maker? Why did you not get coffee at the coffee shop? What's a steamer? Why did you get a steamer? Why did you not want to have too much caffeine? What does jittery mean? Why could you be shaky? Why did you grab a plate? What did I have for breakfast? What kind? Why did I have yogurt and (can't read what I wrote or remember what she had)? When steam is hot, why is it hot? Why is there a different kind that clears up your nose? Why? Why did you put some water on Niamh's tray? What do you mean eat in peace? At Potato Days, why did they have Mr. Potato Head toys for the kids? Why wouldn't you want the ink under your skin to get into Niamh's breastmilk?"
This is completely unrelated, but does anyone have a coupon for Tylenol you'd send my way?
