Morning

Kathryn is so happy when she wakes up in the morning. She comes in from her room early sometime and snuggles with us then falls back asleep, and when she and I wake up (around 8:00 usually, sometimes 9:00), she is really excited that it is a new day. Rob and I are not morning people... I don't know where she gets it. Maybe sleeping in until 9:00 or snuggling has something to do with it, but whatever the case, I love it. Here is she having just woken up. Of course I love the wild hair too!

Baby update

Well, we are at 36 1/2 weeks now, and eagerly awaiting the arrival of baby Niamh Elizabeth! My tummy is measuring a couple of centimeters/weeks small, so we went in this week for an ultrasound just to make sure she's growing okay.

Everything looks fine. She's in the 24th percentile if they have my due date and their estimate (5 lbs., 10 oz.) right, but she is within the healthy range, and they are not concerned at all, so neither are we.

Here she is at 20 weeks
and here is the one face shot we were able to get this week.
The view is not too clear; you can only see her cute little button nose and part of her mouth- I think she looks a lot like Kathryn. We shall see...

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!!!

Fall is so fun, we have to do everything twice?

Kathryn helped me rake leaves today. We played in them for a while, threw them in the dumpster, then realized Russel the sheep was missing. We had to undo our work to find him, but that just meant she got to rake more, which she loved. She loved decorating her pumpkin, washing it, then starting over...
We also baked cinnamon rolls that didn't exactly turn out for some reason (maybe all the sampling happening as we mixed ingredients?)... I guess that will be a re-do too!

When pure sugar just isn't sweet enough

Daddy and Kate enjoying some Frankenberry cereal together...

Artsy

...and there was much rejoicing!!!

I decided last week to try potty training with Kathryn again. We had tried in the past, but she really didn't want to have anything to do with it, so I decided to wait until she turned 2 1/2.

For us, this ended up being magic timing. She is done with day-time diapers! I have put training pants on her for most outings so far, but she always tells me before she needs to go, and uses store/restaurant (etc...) potties, so we'll probably ditch the training pants soon as well.

I researched different methods, and stuck with what seemed to work best for her, which included a sticker chart.
She filled her sticker chart and we went to Chuck E. Cheese with cousin Jade to celebrate this weekend. She even used the potty there twice!

I am so proud of my little big girl!!
Here are just a few other pictures of the girls together during their fun visit. So fun in fact, we're all still recovering!
