...sister!!! Yes, we just found out, our littlest one is a (very healthy!) girl!!!
We are over-the-moon thrilled and excited, and we anxiously await the arrival of Niamh Elizabeth, still due on November 8th.
Her first name is pronounced "Neev" and is a Gaelic name that means radiance. The creative spelling is due to the absence of v in the Gaelic alphabet, so mh or bh are used to create the v sound. Of course, if she gets to school and doesn't want to deal with clarifying the pronunciation, she is welcome to choose to change the spelling. We do think it's important to have the traditional spelling on her birth certificate though.

Kathryn fearlessly explored the boundaries of the gigantic playground jungle, and it was all I could do not to lose her, so I didn't get to take many pictures! Seeing Kelly and Jenny- absolute pros by now at tracking two kiddos- made me wonder how in the world I am ever going to leave the house after November... wait, while I was thinking that, Kathryn darted... where is she NOW? Oh, there she is... phew.

They definitely look alike, but Kathryn is in the white shirt, walking away as I ask her to smile for the camera :) Yep, she's two alright.
