She didn't know I was watching her dance (or conduct, if you ask Rob). Her favorite dance for me to do is anything from A Charlie Brown Christmas. She just cracks up!!! I'm sure it's not because I look ridiculous...

ROCK. ON.
For Rob's (and Kel's!!!) 30th birthday, we had a Rock Band (Play Station game) party.
Did we rock harder than any 30-year-olds have ever rocked before?!?
I'm guessing not, but we did give it the old college try...

Rob's on drums and b-day girl Kel is rockin' the mic (middle)...
Something's missing, but not for long...

9 Month Check-Up
We went for Kathryn's 9 month check-up last week and she's doing just fine. She is in the 50th percentile for height and the 40th for weight at 18 lbs., 9 oz. Our doctor is happy, so I'm happy! He came in and greeted her and she said "hi". We were both a little taken back. She also surprised us when he asked "does she play patty-cake?" and she started clapping. She has been cruising for a while, and is now working on walking. She's taken a few awkward steps on her own! I think it will still be a while before she gets the hang of it though, which is good because she is already too fast for me just crawling. Today she was about two seconds from chowing down on wet cat food- that's how fast she is. (Mom-1 Kate-0, so far today) She got her first little boo boo this week, and she really had to work for it. We have corner guards on our hearth, and with me sitting right next to her, she took off the corner guard, then proceeded to scrape her chin in half a millisecond. I saw the whole thing and still have no idea how she managed to do it.
Here she is cruising along aforementioned hearth a few weeks ago, stopping to admire the baby in the mirror of course:
Well, that's it for now... nine month olds don't leave much time for blogging!

We wish you a...
Merry Christmas!
We had such a beautiful Christmas as a family. Here are some photo highlights. I'm sorry that due to battery issues and chasing after the kiddo I didn't take pictures everywhere we went. We love you all anyway! Stay tuned in the coming weeks for a video from "Iron Chef: Sterling"!
Chillin' at our place:

Grandma and Grandpa's:
It didn't take her long to find all the fancy packages we had under the tree!
Here she is snooping without prompting on Christmas eve.

What a natural.
As if they could be cuter, we applied bows and Santa hats to Kathryn and Muffin...

Uh-oh, I think my cute-ometer just overloaded.
Funny, the same thing happens whenever I watch John Cusack movies. Strange.
She went through a brief phase of frequently making what I call bitter beer face. I'm so glad that passed.

Misc. Pics

Auntie Jannie's:
Watch her play the bells!

Sterling:

And look... Kathryn got her two front teeth for Christmas!

I think she loved everything about her first Christmas- the lights, the loot wrapped in her favorite thing in the world, the music... but most of all I think she loved spending time with family and friends.
P.S. To those we were not able too see, we miss you!
