Science party

Kathryn asked for a science-themed birthday this year. I really like that a lot of the things we made and bought for the party continue to be among their favorite toys.

Preparations

Dry ice and color mixing

Dry ice bubble

Elephant toothpaste

Cupcake bar with test tube sprinkles and Pop Rocks

Diet Coke and Mentos

The lab

Microscope views of sugar and salt

Holograms

Balancing eagle

Light up microscope
Magnets
Tornado tube complete with tiny Monopoly house

We also had science books, coins in balloons, an ant farm, a small human body model and performed experiments with milk and food coloring. It was such a beautiful day that the kids were able to play outside during set-up. I also think the grown-ups had as much fun as the kids... at least I did.
