Father daughter dance

Last night Rob was bathing the kids before bedtime and I was checking my facebook. A friend posted a picture of her daughter and husband on their way to the Greeley father/daughter dance. I had no idea it was happening already; we had almost missed it! I ran upstairs and took Rob aside, and he was up for it. This is so important to us, but because we're sort of cut off from the world (no t.v. service, no local newspaper subscription, little radio, hardly any time to search local news online, etc...) we didn't hear about it. 20 minutes later though, he and Kathryn were spiffed up and out the door.

They had a very special evening filled with dancing, cookies, a flower,
and words of gratitude and love from a little girl that melted her Daddy's heart.

Cell phone pictures

Here are somewhat random, but still precious photos from Rob's and my cell phones.

When Niamh and I check her weight at the breastfeeding clinic, Rob and Kathryn find their own fun elsewhere in the hospital. She always loves the holiday decorations and looks for them each year.

Happy feet

Rob played a quick round of Tetris while Niamh showed off her dance steps and post-pigtail crazy hair.

This winter we are playing outside a lot, often without coats. It is glorious!

A style all her own

Fancy accessories
and the return of Sprinkle Shine

Oh, Neevie!

She was playing on the floor. I went to put my coupon folder in the kitchen. Two seconds later, this:
a fun place to sit
Her silliest grin and the adorable under-bite she flashes at will
(title inspired by her favorite book)

Busy little artists

Kathryn's first time using a computer, and her first paint program creation.
She might not be one to stay in the lines metaphorically speaking, but sometimes she will do so on paper. I drew the girl for her, just for fun.
Niamh has been drawing since she was about 9 months old. She saw Kathryn doing it, and in typical Niamh fashion, grabbed a pen and went to town.

Do you cringe or smile at this collaboration? I smile.

Painting is pretty serious business around here...
 well, sometimes it is.
 Hooray for non-toxic!
