Ocean beach

We just got back from San Diego. I am amazed by the memories and excitement from just one week. Just for starters, here is a look at some of our time at the beach with Granny and Grandpa.

Kathryn was apprehensive about the water, but could not get enough of exploring the tide pools.

Happy 4th!

We went to the parade, then sang the national anthem with the Greeley Chorale at the Stampede. 

I lost the sunglasses pictured below, which was probably for the best.

 

 Later, we watched fireworks with friends at Aims- good times!

We had a morning to ourselves, and I thought I would have a mini photo shoot with her. 

This just about sums up how she felt about it.

I threw my plans out the window then, and just let her play. Here's what we got.

These two are the best of friends, and they seem to have more and more fun together as they get older. 

They enjoyed a day at Elitche's, going on lots of big-girl (42 inches or taller) rides.

Not only that, but they are pen pals. 

Few things around here get such an excited response as letters to Kathryn in our mailbox.

We absolutely love to watch rainstorms on our front porch.

Sometimes the rain lets up and an impromptu dance recital breaks out...
